The incumbent president Muhammadu Buhari has won in Osun state by securing the highest votes.
As announced by INEC, Buhari got 347,634 votes in the state, PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, got 337, 377 votes. The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) President Muhammadu Buhari, in Saturday’s presidential elections, has, therefore, won in Osun. Professor Ogundipe Toyin, the State Collation Officer announced the result at the INEC headquarters in Osogbo at about 12:25 am today, Monday that Buhari secured 347,634 votes. Toyin, who is the Vice-Chancellor of University of Lagos (UNILAG) said Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured 337, 377 votes.
Though the total number of registered voters was 1, 674, 729 and the total number of accredited voters was 732, 984 as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). Toyin who added that the valid votes were714,682, while rejected votes were 17,200, said the total number of votes cast was 731,882.
However, Buhari won in Osun state with margin of 10,257 votes.
