The director-general in charge of the campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, Senate president, Bukola Saraki, as reported, mistakenly asked Kwara people to vote Buhari.
In a shocking video that has gone viral, Senator Bukola Saraki mistakenly urged the Kwara electorate massively give their votes to Buhari. The video has generated strong controversy across the social media space.
According to NAN, the video was produced in Ilorin on Thursday, February 14, the last campaign day.
One could say that Bukola Saraki’s statement at the rally was a slip of the tongue. Immediately after the statement, voices were heard shouting Atiku. Bukola Saraki who is also fighting to retain his Senate seat against the All Progressives Congress challenger, Oloriegbe Ibrahim. Ibrahim, however, has vowed to bench Saraki from politics.
Ibrahim who spoke at a press conference in Lagos said that Saraki should not be given the opportunity to man the upper legislative chamber again due to his lack of Islamic value which the Kwara people needed.
