On Wednesday, January 16, Hussein-Suale Ghanaian secret reporter and member of Tiger Eye Private Investigations team, was shot dead in Accra, Ghana.
The 31-year-old reporter was reportedly shot twice in the chest and once in the neck by unknown gunmen at Madina. He was shot in his car while driving home by gunmen riding a motorbike.
Hussein-Suale covered a video in September 2017, of the coach of the Nigerian national Yusuf Salisu collecting $1000 cash which led to his suspension.
Mr Hussein-Suale was a key Ghanaian secret reporter amongst a team of undercover investigators working with Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye in Ghana. He was so hardworking and dedicated to discharging his duties.
According to the leader of the investigation team, Anas said: Hussein-Suale was shot and killed and nothing was collected from him.
Hussein received several death threats in the cause of doing his job. One of them was the threat by the Ghanaian lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong. In a video published by Anas on Twitter showed Kennedy making violent threats against the deceased. He said the public should deal with Hussein for a handsome reward.

Apart from this, Last year, the team raised the alarm that its staff had become recipients of frequent violent threats. They cried to the world and Ghanaian authorities to ensure their safety.
However, Anas and his team have exposed corruption in several Ghanaian sectors. 2015 undercover that exposed some judges taking cash bribes and caused many of them to resign. Not excluding an undercover on corruption in the Ghanaian sports industry which is suspected to have led to the killing of Hussein yesternight
Though, media rights advocates said the incident has reminded the world of the danger African journalists face in discharging their duties. Therefore called on Ghanaian authorities to immediately fish out the killers and bring urgent justice to the family.
