Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, Nigeria’s Army Chief escaped death on Sunday, after a drunk driver rammed into his convoy in Kaduna.
The suspected drunk driver smashed the official car of Lt. Gen. Buratai. But the army chief was pretty lucky not to be in the car at the time of the crash
However, the accident occurred at Jere town, Kaduna state, as reported by the Nigerian army on its Twitter handle.
As reported, the General’s convoy was on the way to Kaduna at about 6.00 p.m. on Sunday. The accident occurred, as a lone civilian vehicle veered off its lane and rammed into the army boss car.
Though, the ADC sustained some minor injuries and has been taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The Case has been reported to Police and proper Investigation has commenced. Though, the Initial findings revealed the driver was under the influence of alcohol as tweeted by the army this morning.
We are happy to hear the army chief escaped death for not being in the vehicle.
